Pre-Start Mobile Reports Print E-mail

To ensure that your Office Management job always links properly with converted mobile reports, you pre-start mobile reports from Office Management initially.  Doing so also allows you to pre-merge various Office Management job information into your mobile report, so that it is viewable in your report on your PDA.

To pre-create a mobile inspection report file:

  • Display the job In Office Management that has your job information entered. (Tip: In the Office Management Home page, click your scheduled job in the Upcoming Inspections listing to quickly jump to it)
  • In Office Management, click Cloud3D or Pocket3D Inspection button and choose Create and Upload an Inspection.
  • Select the desired Job Name and inspection forms to use and click OK.
  • Phone3D: Login to upload.  Pocket3D: Save your report in your device sync folder.
  • If your report forms contain any defaulted narratives containing Office Management fields, those automatically merge into the report at its creation.
  • You may wish to pre-start any other pocket reports similarly using the above steps for other jobs on the same day.  Or you may start reports at booking time if is more convenient.

 On your PDA:

  • If using Cloud3D Services, login to your cloud account on your PDA, and Download the desired report(s) to work on them.
  • If using Pocket3D, synchronize your PDA and Windows Mobile Device Center automatically transfers new or updated files it finds in your Files synchronization folder to your PDA.  Then in Pocket3D, use Open Inspection to access them.

 

  • After completing your report, upload it back to the cloud, or save it on your PDA so WMDC can synchronize.
  • On your main computer, display your job in Office Management and click Cloud3D/Pocket3D Inspections > Convert a Completed Inspection to convert your mobile report back into your program, automatically properly linked to your job.
