How can I archive and remove old reports from my hard drive? Print E-mail
Since Report Writer inspection report files can take up room over time, particularly when lots of images or attachments are included, some inspectors may wish to periodically remove older ones from their hard drive to save space or simply to make future full data backups from their 3D program faster and smaller.

Pre-Start Pocket Reports Print E-mail

To ensure that your Office Management job always links properly with converted Pocket reports, you may want to consider pre-stating your Pocket reports from Office Management initially.  Doing so also allows you to pre-merge various Office Management job information into your pocket report, so that it is viewable on your PDA when you open the report there.

Edit documents attached to a particular inspection Print E-mail

Whether attached using an automatic Action, word processor options, or other method, once a document master is merged and attached to a specific inspection, it is listed in the lower Attachments pane of the report.  Normally documents launch at attachment time for further customization for the inspection, but you may also edit or remove them later.

"Attached documents" print as part of the inspection body and are included in inspection previews, while "Attached files" that are .w3d type of documents are treated as separate entities which append to the report when printing or emailing.  See program Help for more details about various attachment types and options.

And it automatically prints on your report cover page.

How does the cover page know how and where to import your image? May you import it into other documents you use? How do you adjust the size of the printed image? Here’s what you need to know to set up or adjust documents to use the automatic cover image feature.

Minimize your chances of missing emails you want to receive Print E-mail
In an understandable attempt to eliminate annoying spam, over-zealous email filters can often inadvertently dump emails that you want to receive, including newsletter subscription requests or important emails or replies that you requested. Even 3D Inspection System users occasionally contact us saying they never received a recent software subscription or reply to a question they sent us. When subsequent resends or replies back are also dumped unceremoniously by their email, this compounds the problem of reaching them. How can you “whitelist” emails you want to receive?
