The current version of 3D Inspection System desktop software is compatible with these minimum requirements:
-
Windows XP (SP3) or Windows Vista or Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit) Note: Microsoft officially ended mainstream support for XP SP3 back on April 14, 2009, but it may still be used if working properly.

1 GHz Pentium III or faster. 2 GB RAM min. recommended; 4GB+ recommended for 64-bit Windows

Internet connectivity is REQUIRED for initial product activation, after which it is only needed if you wish to use certain features and to easily receive automatic updates.
You may be able to use the software even if your system does not meet our minimum system requirements, however performance may lag at the minimum recommendation or less. If you use an unsupported operating system, virtual environment, or obsolete version, we may be unable to assist should unexpected technical issues arise.
3D software does not have a native application for Apple or Mac OS computers. Although we do not test them and can not officially support the setup, some users have reported success using options like BootCamp or Parallels to run Windows on a Mac.
3D Inspection System software is designed and tested for use in English versions of Windows. Although custom forms may be used for producing alternate language inspections, technical support and program menus are English-only. Some Windows language keyboard options (such as French and Spanish) are compatible for inputting inspection data, however "Supplemental language support" for East Asian languages (Korean, etc.) is not compatible.
3D Inspection Systems runs on regular Windows PCs, laptops/netbooks, Tablet PCs, and many Ultrabooks. Some prefer rugged hardware like Panasonic ToughBook computers and Fujitsu LifeBook and Stylistic Tablet PCs. Others like touch-screens such as Lenovo ThinkPad or IdeaPad series. Consider a screen designed for both indoor and outdoor use.
